NEET UG 2024 Entrance Examination was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 05 May 2024 from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM (IST) at 4750 centers in 571 cities (including 14 cities abroad) for over 24 lakh candidates. The result of NEET Undergraduate Entrance Exam 2024 was declared on 04 June 2024.
After the result of the NEET UG exam was declared on 4th June, many students and teachers were not satisfied with the result, that is why many NEET teachers raised their voices on this, because of which NTA had to answer all the questions. This year 67 students have scored 720/720 marks whereas only 2 students scored last year. News of the NEET exam paper leak had also come out but NTA did not accept this.
A High Powered Committee was constituted by NTA to examine the issue of granting compensatory/grace marks to 1563 candidates as complaints were received regarding the said action. The High Powered Committee for this issue after thorough deliberations on all relevant aspects submitted its recommendations/report which has been accepted by NTA.
As per the recommendations of the High Powered Committee, NTA (National Testing Agency which is an exam conducting agency) decided to re-conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET UG Exam on 23rd June 2024 for 1563 candidates who had experienced loss of time during the originally NEET UG scheduled examination on 05th May 2024 and were awarded compensatory/grace marks.
As a result, based on the recommendations of the High Committee, it has been decided by NTA that re-examination will be conducted only for those candidates who were awarded “compensatory marks” during the preliminary assessment. The re-examination for the NEET UG Exam 2024 for All 1,563 Candidates will be conducted as per the following schedule:
